the low-temperature capabilities of well control equipment such as blowout preventer

groups, manifolds, and control systems have been challenged. Our company provides

low-temperature well control equipment solutions to meet the operational needs in

extremely cold and low-temperature areas.




Solution Technical Introduction

In extreme low temperature environments, non-metallic seals cannot perform at their best sealing performance, and additional measures need to be taken to ensure that they work at appropriate temperatures. Special rubber materials can be used to produce rubber cores and seals to meet certain low temperature working conditions.

In lower ambient temperatures, well control equipment must undergo special antifreeze, insulation, heating treatments, etc. to maintain good performance of the well control equipment.

The surface of the blowout preventer can be heated electrically, and the relevant electrical components meet explosion-proof requirements. Steam heating can also be used, and a unique steam channel is designed inside the blowout preventer body to allow high-temperature steam to pass through the body, providing heating and insulation functions for the blowout preventer, so that non-metallic seals can achieve normal sealing in extreme low temperature environments.
The well control system in the high cold zone or polar region adopts multiple insulation and heating modes such as electric heating or steam heating, and integrates modular designs such as three-position four-way reversing valves and pressure reducing valves, so that electrical components and pump valve components can operate normally in extreme low temperature environments, improving the reliability of the control system in low temperature environments.
